1. Non condensable gas is produced due to the chemical reaction or electrochemical reaction between the working liquid and the finished material of the pipe. When the heat pipe is working, the gas is swept by the steam flow to the flushing section to gather and form a gas plug, so as to reduce the effective condensation area, increase the thermal resistance, deteriorate the heat transfer performance, reduce the heat transfer capacity and even fail.
2. Deterioration of physical properties of working liquid organic working medium will decompose gradually at a certain temperature, which is mainly due to the unstable nature of the organic working liquid or the chemical reaction with the shell material, which makes the working medium change its physical properties, such as toluene, alkane, hydrocarbon and other organic working liquids prone to such incompatibilities.
3. The corrosion of the shell material and the continuous flow of the dissolved working liquid in the shell, as well as the existence of temperature difference, impurities and other factors, make the shell material dissolve and corrode, increase the flow resistance, and reduce the heat transfer performance of the heat pipe.
